About

I’m a PhD student looking at how the (mainly human) immune system recognises viruses, but I’m interested in infectious diseases from all walks of life.

My first post, ‘Catching the Bug‘, sums up this blog’s aims rather nicely, but in short I hope to foster my own fascination with infectious diseases in others in a way which is accessible to as many people as possible.

If you have any topics that you’d like covered, let me know. Equally, if you have any questions along the way, get in touch – I can’t guarantee to be able to answer them all, but being a PhD student at one of the best univeristies in the world, it’s safe to say that I can find someone who can!
